Synopsis

Metal music, paint, and family are the passions of struggling painter, Jesse, who lives a happy life with his wife, and daughter.

Things look brighter when Jesse finds a huge old house, in rural Texas, selling at a very low price, due to its mysterious past. They move in and Jesse converts the barn into a studio.

But soon, his work starts taking on a new, darker flavour - and things get even more ominous when the hulking, unbalanced son of the former owners appears on the doorstep.

Jesse's family won't be safe until they find a way to quiet the Devil himself.

Overall, the soundtrack of The Devil's Candy is a standout feature of the film, elevating the storytelling and immersing the audience in the eerie and foreboding world of the narrative. It's a perfect complement to the visuals and themes of the movie, enhancing the overall impact of the viewing experience.

Jennifer Jones
9/10

The metal music-infused soundtrack of The Devil's Candy perfectly captures the intense and dark atmosphere of the film. The heavy guitar riffs and aggressive drum beats enhance the thrilling and suspenseful moments, creating a sense of impending danger and unease.

Edward Taylor
5/10

The blending of metal music with the themes of family and artistic passion creates a unique and haunting soundtrack that stays with you long after the movie has ended. It effectively conveys the emotional struggles of the characters and the sinister undertones of the story.

Mary Davis
4/10

The metal music used in The Devil's Candy felt out of place and jarring, detracting from the overall atmosphere of the film. It often felt forced and disconnected from the scenes, making it hard to fully immerse myself in the story.

Kenneth Turner
6/10

The use of music to reflect Jesse's inner turmoil and creative transformation is particularly effective. The soundtrack evolves along with his character, mirroring his descent into darkness and obsession with his art.

Nancy Garcia
4/10

The use of music in key scenes felt cliché and predictable, lacking originality and creativity. The soundtrack failed to surprise or engage me, relying on tired tropes and generic metal tracks that did little to elevate the film's impact.

Robert Lopez
4/10

The soundtrack failed to effectively capture the emotional depth and intensity of the characters' struggles. Instead of enhancing the tension and drama, the music felt repetitive and uninspired, leaving me feeling underwhelmed and disconnected from the narrative.

Elizabeth Miller

The use of music in the film effectively mirrors the protagonist's inner turmoil and descent into darkness as his art takes on a more sinister tone. The soundtrack adds depth and emotion to the story, immersing the audience in the psychological struggles of the characters and enhancing the overall viewing experience.
