Synopsis

Frau Julia Ecker, an intern at the geriatric ward of the Vienna psychiatric clinic "Baumgartner Höhe", develops deep affection and sympathy, even love, for her new "nurse" Karl, who is doing his civil service at this hospital. Karl, a very sensitive young man in his early twenties, feels great warmth and pity for 87-year-old Julia, spends a lot of time with her during her working hours, and finally indulges in Julia's tender erotic seduction. Being watched by Frau Ecker's station head nurse, who is jealous of Karl's ability to empathetically understand his patients' needs and his successes in helping to preserve their remaining intellectual and physical abilities, when reporting to the Department of sexual relations with police officer Julia Karl by the head nurse which led to her arrest and imprisonment.
