The Strain

A Boeing 767 arrives at JFK and is on its way across the tarmac, when it suddenly stops dead. All window shades are pulled down. All lights are out. All communication channels have gone quiet. Crews on the ground are lost for answers, but an alert goes out to the CDC.

Dr. Ephraim "Eph" Goodweather, head of their Canary project, a rapid-response team that investigates biological threats, gets the call and boards the plane. What he finds makes his blood run cold.

In a pawnshop in Spanish Harlem, a former professor and survivor of the Holocaust named Abraham Setrakian knows something is happening. And he knows the time has come, that a war is brewing.

So begins a battle of mammoth proportions as the vampiric virus that has infected New York begins to spill out into the streets. Eph, who is joined by Setrakian and a motley crew of fighters, must now find a way to stop the contagion and save his city - a city that includes his wife and son - before it is too late.

Dorothy Hall

The epic and cinematic quality of the music elevates the action sequences and adds a sense of grandeur to the unfolding events in The Strain.

Charles Lopez

Overall, the soundtrack of The Strain is a masterful work of art that enhances the storytelling and brings the world of the series to life in a truly memorable way.

Donna Baker

The mix of orchestral elements and electronic sounds creates a unique and immersive listening experience that enhances the overall viewing experience of the show.

Nancy Anderson

The soundtrack of The Strain perfectly captures the tense and suspenseful atmosphere of the show, creating a chilling and eerie ambiance that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Thomas Hernandez

I found the soundtrack of The Strain to be quite underwhelming and unmemorable. The music did not effectively capture the tension and horror of the plot, leaving me feeling disconnected from the scenes and characters.

Kimberly Harris

On the other hand, some may find the soundtrack to be a bit repetitive and lacking in variety. While the atmospheric music serves its purpose in building suspense, it can become monotonous over time, especially during extended scenes of suspense or action. More diversity in the musical themes could have added depth to the overall listening experience.

Steven Garcia

The emotional depth and resonance of the soundtrack help to create a connection between the audience and the characters, making their struggles and triumphs feel more impactful.

Jennifer Brown

The music helps to build a sense of dread and unease, drawing viewers deeper into the world of The Strain and heightening the emotional impact of key moments.

David Jackson

The use of ominous and foreboding musical motifs adds a sense of impending danger and keeps the tension high throughout the series.

Timothy Parker

The use of haunting melodies and ominous tones in the music enhances the sense of impending doom and danger, adding depth and intensity to the unfolding story of a vampiric virus spreading through New York City.

Edward Allen

The soundtrack features a diverse range of musical styles and genres, showcasing the composers' versatility and ability to capture the different moods and atmospheres of the series.

Deborah Green

The haunting and eerie atmosphere created by the soundtrack perfectly complements the dark and suspenseful tone of The Strain.

William Lopez

The soundtrack effectively conveys the sense of urgency and desperation felt by the characters as they battle against the vampiric virus spreading through New York.

Daniel Moore

The soundtrack of The Strain perfectly captures the tension and suspense of the storyline, creating a sense of unease and impending danger. The use of eerie strings and low rumbling sounds effectively sets the tone for the dark and ominous events unfolding in the series.

Patricia Lopez

The dynamic and diverse range of musical styles in the soundtrack, from orchestral arrangements to electronic beats, reflect the diverse characters and unfolding plotlines in the series, creating a rich and immersive listening experience that complements the visuals on screen perfectly.

Emily Evans

The use of subtle sound design elements adds depth and complexity to the soundtrack, enhancing the overall storytelling and character development in the show.

Linda Walker

Additionally, I felt that the use of generic and predictable musical cues in the soundtrack detracted from the overall atmosphere of the show. Instead of enhancing the suspense and drama, the music often felt like a distracting background noise that failed to elevate the storytelling.
