Synopsis

Irin "Iroc" Daniels comes back with a thriller The System 2017. Vastly different lives and perspectives become intertwined after a police officer suffering from recurring PTSD mistakenly shoots a deaf African-American kid, exposing layers of racial tension and corruption within the political, judicial and prison system. After the system fails to bring justice to Sam Lynch (Owen Conway), the PTSD stricken police officer who killed his son, Nate Wesley (Reginald Kennedy) contemplates taking matters into his own hands. His decision leads to a climax that will change the lives of everyone involved forever. Directed and written by Irin Daniels, The System provides a thought provoking multilayer landscape that touches on themes such as corruption, racism, and prejudice while exploring the intricate and complicated perspectives from both sides of these issues.
