Sinopsis
Un joven ruso, Thomas Minton, viaja a Nueva York como pasajero en un carguero ruso. Cerca de la isla Ellis se baja y así comienza su viaje a América de la misma manera que todos los inmigrantes en tiempos pasados. Thomas busca a la familia de uno de sus antepasados, que había emigrado hace décadas, pero una vez envió una carta a casa junto con una muestra de su nueva profesión: la fotografía en 3D. El niño sigue las huellas de su pariente contracomprobando las viejas fotografías en 3D de Nueva York (utilizando un visor antiguo) con los mismos lugares y cómo se ven hoy. De esta manera, la audiencia puede ver la Gran Manzana tanto en tiempos pasados como en la actualidad.
