Amadeus
Antonio Salieri cree que la música de Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart es divina y milagrosa. Desea ser él mismo un músico tan bueno como Mozart para poder alabar al Señor a través de la composición. Comenzó su carrera como un hombre devoto que cree que su éxito y talento como compositor son recompensas de Dios por su piedad. También está contento como el respetado y económicamente próspero compositor de la corte del Emperador José II de Austria. Pero se sorprende al descubrir que Mozart es una criatura tan vulgar, y no puede entender por qué Dios favoreció a Mozart para ser su instrumento. La envidia de Salieri lo ha convertido en un enemigo de Dios cuya grandeza era evidente en Mozart. Está listo para vengarse contra Dios y Mozart por su propia mediocridad musical.
