Synopsis

Annually Retentive is a British television show that aired on BBC Three. The show is a mockumentary that follows the fictional character Simon Quinlank, played by comedian Rob Brydon, as he hosts a panel show called "Annually Retentive."

The premise of the show is that Quinlank is a control freak who meticulously plans every aspect of the panel show, from the questions asked to the seating arrangements of the guests. The show also features real-life comedians and celebrities as guests on the panel show.

Throughout the series, Quinlank's neurotic behavior and need for control lead to comedic situations and clashes with the guests. The show satirizes the behind-the-scenes workings of panel shows and the egos of comedians and celebrities.

Annually Retentive received positive reviews for its clever writing and Brydon's performance as the neurotic Quinlank. The show ran for two seasons before being canceled.
