Synopsis

Justin Brightman, a young aspiring writer, is ostracized by his entire town for his aberrant and bizarre behavior, making him the unofficial "town loon." In fact, the only person in the entire town who accepts him is his best friend, Penny McGivern, a lovesick tomboy. However, Justin's life takes a dramatic turn when the beautiful, older April Grace moves into town. Smitten by her golden locks, Justin conspires with Penny to write her the perfect love poem before she learns about his reputation.
