Synopsis

Deadwood: The Movie is a 2019 American television film directed by Daniel Minahan. It serves as a continuation of the HBO television series Deadwood, which originally aired from 2004 to 2006.

The film is set in 1889, ten years after the events of the series finale. The residents of Deadwood are reunited to celebrate South Dakota's statehood. However, tensions rise as old rivalries resurface and past grievances come to light.

Former rivals Al Swearengen and Seth Bullock must put aside their differences to confront a common enemy who threatens the town's future. As they navigate the treacherous political landscape of Deadwood, they must also come to terms with their own personal demons.
