Synopsis

In the 1950s, the culture of Taiwan was affected by different cultures from Japan, the United States, and China, which can be said to be very complicated and chaotic. This film is based on the simple Taiwanese society of the 1950s. It tells of a complex and natural set of emotions of young people, such as excitement and loneliness, during this chaotic period of transition. The story centers on four high school students, Yang Jialuo, You Fusheng, Gu Caizi, Guo Hao, and Liu Guobao. In the film, they narrate and reflect on their growth with witty dialogue.
