For engineer Markus (Andreas Döhler), who participates in a family celebration with his wife Monika (Jessica Schwarz) and his 4-year-old son Adam, the event, planned as a happy get-together, becomes a turning point in his life when suddenly long-suppressed childhood memories come to him. The trigger is a small cut of his four-year-old son, who has just returned from the toilet with grandmother Renate (Katrin Pollitt). Markus meets the realization that he was abused as a child by his mother. At the banquet, his younger brother Johannes gives a speech to his father, which, however, emphasizes the mother's primary role in building the family business. In the party, Markus holds himself back very much, gives noncommittal answers to questions about how he feels and also makes eye contact with his sister Sabine. This recovered knowledge overshadows the life of the man, who ultimately seeks confrontation with his mother and wants to inaugurate the other family members in his terrible secret.
