Synopsis

Melissa is a fetish model who realizes that she had taken the wrong path. Modeling was to pay for college, but it became her career. She tries to convince a director to forsake exploitation films and return to his artistic roots. Melissa begins to see the dark side of the industry. She warns others of the dangers and wonders if she should heed her own warning before it is too late. This movie was written before the popular social movements about harassment were formed, but it is not a preachy movie, nor is it a tale of condemnation. It is a tragedy, with a few laughs. It is better to find laughter than to search for demons.

The choice of music in Exploitation often felt out of place and jarring, pulling me out of the immersive experience of the film. The abrupt shifts in tone and style within the soundtrack were distracting and disrupted the flow of the narrative. Instead of enhancing the storytelling, the soundtrack at times felt like an afterthought, undermining the overall cohesion of the movie.

The soundtrack of Exploitation felt disconnected from the emotional depth of the characters and storyline. The music did not enhance the impact of the scenes, leaving them feeling flat and lacking in resonance. It failed to capture the complexity of the characters' struggles and emotions, which made it difficult to fully engage with the film on an auditory level.
