Synopsis

Stars and Bars follows the story of Henderson Dores, a nineteenth century art expert working at a New York City auction house under the direction of Edgar Beeby, the father of his fiancée Melissa.

Henderson, a stereotypical uptight Brit, moved to the US to break out of his staid British rut and expand his horizons. Edgar sends him to rural Luxora Beach, GA to assess a potential Pierre-Auguste Renoir painting being sold by Loomis Gage, estimated to be worth over $10 million.

Feeling like a fish out of water in rural Georgia, Henderson must navigate Loomis and his eccentric family, each with their own motivations. As New Yorkers start descending on Henderson, both personally and professionally, he reevaluates his version of the American dream.
