Synopsis

The Reaping is a supernatural horror film that follows the story of Katherine Winter, a former missionary who lost her faith after her family was tragically killed in Sudan. She now works as a debunker of religious phenomena, exposing supposed miracles as hoaxes.

When she is called to investigate a series of strange occurrences in a small town in Louisiana, Katherine is faced with unexplainable events that challenge her skepticism. As she delves deeper into the mystery, she discovers that the town is plagued by a biblical plague of locusts and a river of blood.

Katherine must confront her own demons and rediscover her faith as she races against time to uncover the truth behind the supernatural events. With the help of a local schoolteacher and a young girl who may hold the key to the town's salvation, Katherine must confront the forces of evil that threaten to consume the town.

As the mystery unravels, Katherine realizes that the events in the town are connected to her own past and that she may hold the key to stopping the darkness that threatens to engulf them all.
