Synopsis

Downhill is a drama film that follows a married couple, Billie and Pete, on a ski vacation in the Alps with their two sons. During a lunch at a mountainside restaurant, a controlled avalanche occurs, causing panic among the diners. While Pete grabs his phone and runs for safety, Billie stays behind to protect their sons.

After the incident, the couple's relationship begins to unravel as they struggle to come to terms with their differing reactions to the avalanche. Billie feels betrayed by Pete's actions, while Pete tries to downplay the event and move on. As tensions rise, the couple is forced to confront their own insecurities and the cracks in their marriage.

Downhill explores themes of trust, communication, and the fragility of relationships in the face of crisis. Will Billie and Pete be able to overcome their differences and rebuild their marriage, or will the avalanche be the breaking point for their relationship?
