Synopsis

The couple Carlos and Eduarda arrive in this small fishing village in the northeast of Brazil, where they are in charge of rescuing the mysterious cargo from a sunken ship. Eduarda feels a magical connection with this place full of light and especially with Nô, a handsome local whose grandmother is seen as some kind of sorcerer. She is grooming Nô to inherit his knowledge and powers and thus "shut his body up", making him indifferent to love, despite being the heartbreaker of most of the women in the city. But this will change when Eduarda and Nô fall in love, unleashing a series of dramatic events and complex feelings. The story is based on the homonymous bestseller by José Lins do Rego.
